This webinar will take place online on Wednesday, 23 September 2026, at 09:00. Approximate duration is 1 hour.
The EU-Republic of Korea Intellectual Property Action is an EU funded project directed by the European Commission’s Directorate General for Trade and Economic Security and implemented by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), aimed at reinforcing the cooperation between the EU and Korea in the field of intellectual property.
The objective of this webinar is to introduce the main forms of IP protection available in Korea, including trade marks, designs, patents, geographical indications, and trade secrets, and will explain the key procedures, institutions, and enforcement avenues relevant to businesses seeking to protect and manage their IP in the Korean market. Particular attention will be given to the practical differences between the Korean and European systems, in order to help EU users approach the Korean market with greater confidence and awareness.
The session will also cover post-registration actions, appeals and basic enforcement mechanisms, offering participants a concise but practical guide to the Korean IP landscape.
Expert insights are provided by the Ministry of Intellectual Property of the Republic of Korea (MOIP), drawing on its institutional expertise to help participants better understand the Korean IP landscape and navigate market-entry challenges.
We invite User Associations, European businesses and IP representatives interested in discovering the basics and essential aspects of the Korean IP system, to register here:
